TTT: 10 Books I Could Re-Read Forever

Rereading old favorites is one of the many joys of being a bookworm. It’s hard to make time for it when there are always so many shiny new books being added to my TBR, but there are times when you just want the cozy familiarity of a book you KNOW you’ll love, especially when life gets hectic.

I loved putting this Top Ten Tuesday list together because it reminded me of all the good times I’ve had with my favorite books. Many of them come from my childhood or middle school days, and I think the reason I love revisiting them is because they remind me of a time when life was simpler (and certainly less busy). I’m really excited that I’ll be able to introduce the Little Mister to some of them soon. Maybe one or two will end up on HIS list of life-long favorites!

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Books I Could Re-Read Forever

Tatterhood and the Hobgoblins

This was one of my favorite books growing up. I have a copy of it now and still flip through it sometimes. Can’t wait until the Little Mister is old enough to read it!

A Series of Unfortunate Events

This is a series that gets better with every reread, as I pick up on hints and foreshadowing I didn’t catch the first time.

The Hobbit

Um. Duh.

Gathering Blue

Or The Silent Boy. Or Gossamer. I just really like Lois Lowry.

Calvin & Hobbes

I was OBSESSED with Calvin and Hobbes as a kid. The books still hold a place of honor on my bookshelf.

And Then There Were None

Agatha Christie is a perennial favorite of mine. And Then There Were None is my go-to Halloween book!

The Chronicles of Narnia

I’ve reread this series SO many times. I actually have no idea exactly what the number is. I never get tired of it. The land of Narnia is always worth revisiting!

Mere Christianity

As much as I love Narnia, my favorite books by Lewis are actually his nonfiction works.

The Wanderer

Sharon Creech was my favorite author when I was in middle school. I reread many of her books several times, but I think The Wanderer was my favorite (or maybe Bloomability).

Song of the Sparrow

I love retellings, and the lyrical style of this King Arthur retelling always has me coming back to read again.

What are your favorite books to reread?
