Hey there, Wonderlanders! After such a crazy March, here’s hoping the snow is finally behind us. Luckily, our new book of the month is just the sort to get you thinking happy thoughts. Can you guess what it is? Here’s your photo hint:
In other news, I’ve been invited to join the Association of Food Bloggers! My membership is still being processed, but soon you should be able to access my site through their blog directory. You can check them out here. 🙂
February was such a busy month! Between trips downstate, the start of Lent, and crazy weather, March managed to sneak up on me. I was editing pictures for my first March recipe when I realized I hadn’t posted the new Book of the Month hint yet. For shame!
Fear no more, for your photo hint is finally here. And judging from the view outside my window right now, it couldn’t be more seasonally appropriate. 😉
The snow started just before I went to bed last night. Though we’ve been expecting a snowstorm, I figured it would do most of its damage during the night, and before drifting off I made a vague mental note to clear off my car in the morning. Eight hours later, the Mister and I woke up to find not only eight inches of snow but that the storm was MUCH STRONGER…and it still is.
I had so much fun making the Hunger Games menu this past month, especially the lamb stew (it’s one of my favorite recipes now). Last week’s Katniss Cakes marked the end of the menu, so it’s time to welcome December with a new Book of the Month! Your photo hint is below. Can you guess it?
Happy November! I hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween. We had SNOW on Friday, which I was super excited about, because I’m a weirdo who derives an unhealthy amount of enjoyment from cold weather (Need proof? The Mister once seriously proposed that we move to Alaska…and I thought it was a great idea).
Happy October, folks! It is officially an acceptable time to decorate for Halloween, so you can bet my apartment is decked out in its finest spooky raiments. Of course, this means it’s time to say goodbye to September and our Redwall menu, but don’t worry. As always, we’re concluding our current menu with an awesome new Adagio tea blend: Abbot’s Chocolate Hazelnut Tea!
I had so much fun making Rum-Soaked Ribs and Key Lime Coins for our Treasure Island menu! Alas, August is drawing to a close, so it’s time to end this Book of the Month. If you like, you can give Treasure Island a farewell toast with our exclusive Long John Island Tea at Adagio.com!
Howdy, Wonderlanders! Summer is already in full force here in Chicago, so it looks like we’re in for a pretty intense July. Maybe if I make an appeal to the snow demons, they’ll have mercy and send autumn a little early.
And so ends the great month of May. I loved spending it on our Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy menu. After all, it’s not every day you get to make crazy food like Apocalypse Trail Mix, Petunia Bowl Salad, and Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters. But after all that space travel, I think I’m ready for something a little bit closer to home. For our next Book of the Month, I chose a book that celebrates the simple pleasures of summer without venturing far beyond the backyard.
I can’t wait to get started!
