Howdy, folks! Sorry about the mix-up earlier today. Those of you who were paying close attention probably already know what I’m talking about. I’ve been trying to work ahead on my posts and accidentally scheduled next Tuesday’s post for today! EEP! >.< It was only up for 10 minutes before I caught the mistake, but those of you who follow through email probably still got an update about it….so I guess you got a sneak peak at next month’s menu! I can trust you to keep it a secret until June for everyone else, right? πŸ˜‰

Anyway, THIS is the post that was supposed to go up today: my Top Ten Tuesday linkup! Below I’ve shared a list of my top 10 favorite fictional worlds. Hopefully they’re all worlds that are forgiving of bloggers who try to work too far ahead and get their wires crossed! πŸ˜‰

Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Fictional Worlds I’d Like to Visit

NARNIA

Gotta get the obvious ones out of the way first. I love winter and I love Aslan, so I’m set either way! πŸ™‚

MIDDLE EARTH

My other obvious dream home. Tea time in the garden of Bag End with seed cake and a good book is just my speed.

EARTHSEA

Um WIZARDS. And DRAGONS. Need I say more?

AVONLEA

A visit to the Lake of Shining Waters, anyone?

THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD

On a very blustery day, of course.

REDWALL

Gotta get me some of that meadowcream and damson flower cordial!

SHERLOCK HOLMES’ LONDON

If I’m allowed to tag along on cases, of course.

THE OLD KINGDOM OF SABRIEL

Fighting the undead with necromancy might be dangerous, but it sure sounds exciting!

THE WORLD OF THE BORROWERS

Who doesn’t want to eat dinner off a bottle cap and see a flower as tall as a tree?

CAMELOT

‘Tis a a silly place. πŸ˜‰

Which fictional world is YOUR favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Mike Magnus

FOR REDWWWAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!! And, if I’m able to come back whenever I want, Clive Cussler’s world and Equestria. =)

  2. I might like to visit Brambly Hedge by Jill Barklem, IF I could be as small as a mouse, so I could visit their incredible pantries and kitchens. πŸ™‚ Possibly Susan Cooper’s England also, albeit it’s a bit frightening, so hopefully Merriman Lyon would be with me. I love and am familiar with most of yours and I agree, just lovely!

  3. I’m right there with you on Narnia, Middle-Earth, and Earthsea. And while I love Garth Nix’s world-building for the Old Kingdom, I don’t know if I’d want to run into any of the spirits of the dead there!
