The complete manuscript for my cookbook is due mid October, so it’s currently crunch time at my house. Husband and baby have been very understanding of how much time I currently spend tapping away at my laptop as I make final edits to my manuscript, but I’ll admit I’m SO READY to be done with this stage of the process. I’m a rather detail-oriented person who I often likes editing, but I’ve been applying the correct abbreviation of “tablespoon” and rewriting ingredients in order of use for almost two months now. Needless to say, I’m ready to get back in the kitchen.
Even though editing process can be tough and tedious, I’ve been motivating myself with the promise that I can do some fun reading once it’s complete. Here’s my post-cookbook TBR, which I plan to dive into as soon as I submit my manuscript:
I’ve had the audiobook for this checked out from my library for almost a month now and still haven’t gotten to it. A reader requested a menu on this a little while back, and I still promise to read it (I haven’t forgotten you, Theresa!). It’s #1 one the list once Operation Manuscript is complete!
I’ve been following the Lockwood books since they first came out (you can read my interview with the author here). This is the last book in the series, and it actually came out the day I started drafting this post. Instead of snatching it up right away, I added it to my birthday list so I can save it as a spooky Halloween read for late October.
Wuthering Heights and The Book Thief are both on my general TBR. Sleepy Hollow is on my TT Fall TBR! I read Murder on the Orient Express a while ago and it was good!!
Ohhhhh I really hope you like A Wizard of Earthsea! UKLG is my favorite author of all time, and the Earthsea series is part of my early foundation in fantasy lit. 🙂
The Book Thief is amazing, too. But make sure you have tissues ready near the end. 😉
The Book Thief is one of my favourite books, so I really hope you enjoy it!
