I’m actually really horrible at coming up with creative Halloween costumes, so I commend anyone who can dream up a clever, gorgeous costume all on their own. And if that costume just so happens to be inspired by a book character, then I’m pretty sure I’ve found my new best friend. 😉
Of course there are LOADS of awesome bookish costumes out there, but these are my ten favorites. Some are quick and easy to throw together, others are practically pieces of art. But they’re ALL super creative ways to use Halloween to share your love of reading! 🙂

What are your favorite bookish Halloween costumes?
I absolutely love the Mary Poppins costume. <3 And a great idea for pets! My friend actually got a Halloween costume for her dog, they're planning to go as Woody and Buzz for Halloween, Buzz being the dog. It's adorable!
Lol! That’s a great idea. The Woody/Buzz combo is always a classic. 🙂
That Ms. Frizzle costume is amazing. I got a quick case of claustrophobia just looking at that Peter Pan costume. Very neat, but no way I could make it for more than five minutes in that thing!

If I was a teacher, I would TOTALLY be Ms Frizzle for Halloween! 🙂
I checked out your TTT post, and that Behind Closed Doors book sounds super scary! O.O
