Happy June, folks! It’s time for our Month in Review!
A
This month, we made lots of mini recipes for The Borrowers! Since the Borrowers are small, I decided to make all the recipes bite-sized. We had tiny potato soup shooters, Borrower’s Breakfast, salad bites on toothpicks, and mini cherry cakes for dessert! It was definitely a challenge to think of wee interpretations of the food from the books, but it was fun to stretch my creative muscles in a new way. ^.^
Arrietty’s Cherry Tree Tea is now a reality. I was impatient all month to premiere my Borrower-themed tea, and now it’s part of our Wonderland Tea Gallery. Inspired by the big cherry tree outside Arrietty’s house, this cherry green tea tastes refreshing and natural. Perfect for summer sipping!
I went to BookCon! And I got to sit in on a YA fiction panel where Veronica Roth was one of the guest speakers!!! It was my first time attending a book-centric convention, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. There were definitely LOADS of publishers and lots of free bookish goodies, which were awesome, but I also think the show floor was WAY more chaotic than it needed to be. If the show floor had a better layout, I think everyone could have navigated the con with fewer headaches. I loved the panels, though. I’ll definitely go to more next year.
And that about wraps it up! Since it’s been awhile since our last TV/movie menu, our next Menu of the Month will be for a TV show instead of a book. If you want to venture a guess at what it will be, check out the photo hint below!
Star Trek? Or Serenity? Those are the only space-y shows I know of…
I agree, it’s probably either Star Trek TNG or Firefly. There are plenty of space shows, but those are the ones I remember you mentioning before. ?
Star Trek and possibly Star Wars?
If it’s not one already guessed, maybe Killjoys or Dark Matter?
Lots of exciting things! I have no idea what the menu is next month from the hint. XD But I’m looking forward to it!
